The magic of the Haunting of Yacht Haven doesn’t happen overnight—it’s a labor of love that begins well before October. Every year, starting the weekend after Labor Day, we kick off the Halloween season with our Setup Party, an event that brings together family, friends, neighbors, and regulars to help us transform our yard into the ultimate Halloween wonderland.

A Community Tradition

The Setup Party is more than just a day to assemble decorations; it’s a cherished community tradition. With over 200 animatronics, themed areas, and miles of lighting to prepare, it’s an all-hands-on-deck effort. But we make sure the day is as much about fun as it is about hard work.

Food, Fun, and Frights

No one leaves hungry at the Setup Party! Our friends at Suzy-Q’s BBQ bring the heat with mouthwatering dishes to keep everyone fueled throughout the day. From ribs and brisket to classic sides, the food alone is worth showing up for.

While the adults focus on pulling decorations from storage, assembling animatronics, and mapping out pathways, the kids have their own fun getting a sneak peek at some of the spooky surprises in store. It’s the perfect way to get everyone excited for the season ahead.
